I was born in Syracuse, New York to Eileen and Jack Chaffee. My dad was a Veteran.  In 1969, my family moved to Bowie where I attended Prince Georges County public schools. I graduated from Bowie High School in 1980. I proceeded to study and work on electrical and electronics at the University of Maryland in College Park.  After leaving UMCP, I Started a business where I learned building, taxes, real estate law, engineering and permitting.   In 1985, I had the pleasure of marrying my high school sweetheart, Amy Gallagher.  Amy also attended Prince Georges Public Schools and graduated from Bowie High School. We both have strong roots here in District 5. We lived in Deale, in Anne Arundel County or eight years before moving to Calvert County in 1992.    I am blessed with four wonderful daughters, four great sons- in- laws, and eight amazing grandchildren with another on the way. In my free time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and boating with my family in the waters of Southern Maryland. I am a Catholic and a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Prince Frederick.  I was married in and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bowie.  I believe all Americans should have the same religious freedom that I enjoy.  As members of our community, my wife and I volunteered as coaches for Calvert County Parks and Recreation and Calvert Soccer Association for over 15 years. I was also a volunteer basketball coach for St. John Vianney. During this time, we enjoyed the privilege of meeting hundreds of parents and children throughout the Southern Maryland area.    Democrat or Republican this is about you and your families’ freedoms. I would like your Vote on May 14. CHAFFEE FOR US SENATE                            Thank you and God Bless
